Old House=character

Steve took a dive into the dumpster-a twist on dumpster diving-our construction dumpster that is. He was trying to redistribute the stuff so we could get more in it...still trying to achieve the goal of getting the drywall down so we can get the dumpster picked up! We made a trip to Lowes tonight which distracted us greatly from getting a lot of work done! We did make some interesting discoveries which is always fun, but better than that, we opened the new doorway into our bedroom (left). underneath it is planks which are probably left over from the original construction, and to the left of it is an old piece of siding-also probably from the original construction. Steve started to pry up the planks but I asked him to leave them. We will put the new door jam over it. We are still trying to make decisions on insulation before we start putting our room back together. We just don't know what is the best/economical choice for our circumstances.....??
