We have learned alot more than could be expressed in this short space!
Rich has sheetrocked for the first time and gotten quite good at it. Alex took his first turn at sheetrocking and mudding. Todd got a quick lesson in how to sheetrock and mud. He has done a few walls now-and stayed neat doing it! (Can't say that for Kat or I!). Steve Willis has been helping and instructing. We might actually get this whole mud thing down before this project comes several times now...slow learners to a close. (He is patient-I think he has told us the same thing that we are!) Kids have all jumped right in, mudding, sweeping, vacuuming,
sanding, and FINALLY primering. We got Alex's room primered this week! Still working on some touch up work in the hall and living room, but they are about ready to be primed too. This weekend we are going to paint his room!
We spent yesterday evening ordering doors. It took hours! Solid core, hollow core, left hand, right hand, choices choices choices on hardware, locksets?, and the list goes on! Who would have thunk that that could be so complicated! (And just a few weeks ago, thought you just kind of walked in and bought doors!) Wonder how we will do actually hanging them!
