Praising God in the storms!

I was sure by now

God You would have reached down

And wiped our tears away

But once again, I say "Amen", and it's still raining

As the thunder rolls I barely hear

Your whisper through the rain

"I'm with you"

And as Your mercy falls

I raise my hands and praise

the God who gives

And takes away

And I'll praise You in this storm

And I will lift my hands

For You are who You are

No matter where I am

And every tear I've cried

You hold in Your hand

You never left my side

And though my heart is torn

I will praise You in this storm

I remember when I stumbled in the wind

You heard my cry to you

And you raised me up again

My strength is almost gone

How can I carry on

If I can't find You

My help comes from the Lord

The Maker of Heaven and Earth

Through every phase of life, God gives me a verse or a song to encourage me and remind me of just who He is! I can look back over these different times with absolute amazement! The night of the flood, we got the radio out and plugged it in so we could listen to the weather. In the middle of our wading through the waters, this song came on the radio. It was perfect timing! I was driving home today from work, and this CD kicked in on the cd changer (awesome cd by the way). God once again reminded me to praise Him in the midst of my storm and to trust Him. He is my help and my strength! He holds every tear I cry, knows every pain of my heart, is ever faithful, is ever present. What an awesome God I serve!
